In 10-15 years when the Boomers and their parents are gone, you will see fast, progressive change in the south.

Why have Mississippi last?
They were actually the first to decriminalize marijuana possession.

Alabama has legalized CBD oil if you enroll in a medical study. That only passed because a State Trooper's kid had seizures and he became the face of the bill.

Georgia would legalize it before LA. Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama will probably be the last three states to legalize.

Mississippi already has pretty lax weed laws.

I brought up legalizing weed today in my office in north Louisiana. I am pretty sure HR was called and I will have a drug test waiting for me on Monday

Arkansas was the first southern state to legalize gay marriage. They'll legalize marijuana before Louisiana and Tennessee.

I wouldn't doubt it. We could become the Colorado of the South in a heartbeat. Have a whole industry, tourism, etc

Too bad we're dumb.

It's up for vote in some form in about 10 states in November. If they all pass it there could be a big push to lift the federal ban

Isn't simple possession basically a speeding ticket in al-Abama?
