Arkansas was the first southern state to legalize gay marriage. They'll legalize marijuana before Louisiana and Tennessee.

arkansas never legalized gay marriage. one obama/clinton judge tried to force it down the state against everyone's will.

They'll outsource more prisoners to prisons for profit first. Which is pathetic and sad.

Isn't simple possession basically a speeding ticket in al-Abama?

Hell no unless a lot has changed in the last 15 or so years. I got popped with not even enough to roll a pinner with back around 2001-2002. Cost me about 1000.00 in fines, loss of drivers license for 6 months (was not cited for DUI), had to attend a total of 12 NA/AA meetings.

Alabama decided to make the license revocation mandatory so that it would pop up any time you are pulled over statewide and your license is run through the state database. This happening results in the LEO pulling you over to have automatic probable cause to search you and your vehicle.

Mississippi will be the first to legalize. They've already de-criminalized it.

Arkansas would be my second guess.

But as soon as one of the southern ag states fall, the dominos will fall.

We could have 5-7 states legalize in November, and getting a hell of alot of tax money from it. I believe that as soon as other states realize the revenue/tax stream they're missing out on, it will be very difficult for them to resist. Federal legalization may finally get some traction as well if those states are all able to pass their initiatives in 2016.

One of the few that isn't incredibly stupid: Florida

Florida has one of the most incredibly stupid citizenries in human history. The moon will be proven to be made out of cheese before Florida legalizes pot.

NC or Florida,

It's just a fine now in Asheville for possession. About like receiving a traffic citation.

What's the cost of the fine?

A "traffic citation" is extremely ambiguous. Not coming to a complete stop on a right on red isn't quite the same as a reckless operation of a motor vehicle or leaving the scene of an accident (which all three are merely traffic citations)/

It got over 57% in 2014 and needs 60% to pass. It should happen this time around since there won't be a commercial blitz like they had last time with extreme scare tactics that were employed.
