If you have kids and will be sending them to public school, that's probably where you want to be.

I don't understand the attraction of subdivisions, so I would say the saint street area. If you have money, W Bayou and E Bayou areas are nice.

If you want to live nearer to Carencro, I'd want to live in Grand Coteau or even Arnaudville.

You can also live in the country between these areas.

Houses are fricking ancient. I'd prefer something newer for a variety of reasons

If you want to be underwater for the next flood and also want to pay more for flood insurance, yes.

W Bayou
This is the correct answer. The West Bayou/Brentwood area will never flood (unless the entire city is under water) and there is a variety of architecture at a variety of prices, especially as you move north toward Johnston.

Broadmoor is a decent location, for similar reasons, and never floods, but of all Lafayette areas, I strongly prefer WB/Brentwood.

Have you ever been to Rabbit Hill? Being that you are from Abbeville and all. What about the Jets, Bottoms, the Front and the Sticks? None of those are in North Abbeville padnah.

Follow the river for the best places to live in town. I'm not familiar with the rural subdivisions out there if that's what you like.

Youngsville no question. Chemin Metarie to Hwy 90. 90 to upper Lafayette. Super easy. Area is growing, value of homes always increasing. Restaurants, grocery stores, public park, new high school being built. To me its a no brainer. That's just my opinion.
