I'm so sorry you had to see that, but more importantly,

I'm so sorry you had to see that and live in Mississippi.

Tell ya what, driving a manual has kept my phone play in check big time. Looks like my sons will be driving manuals;)

Not to condone drinking and driving in any way, but I'd have to think texting and driving has surpassed it in causing fatalities by now. Just doesn't have the stigma attached.

Sheriff's association needs to figure out a way to make more money off of texting and driving, because it causes wrecks way more often than reported

It would not be hard to do. I see it every single day on my commute. I wish the local PD would shift some of the patrol cars from their daily speed traps and have them cruise around looking for this shite.

I actually think statistics show that more wrecks are caused by texting than drinking & driving.

a couple of days ago, I was approaching a red light along with other cars and there was a car already stopped at the light. The light turned green and we were still a good distance from the light. The car at the light stayed there for almost 10 seconds before moving. Further up the road, I pass the car up and it's this stupid bitch texting on her phone

Those people need to have their hand chopped off

I've noticed recently that a whole bunch of old people - women specifically - are staring at their phones and driving. I was almost run over in a pedestrian crosswalk yesterday when some grandma blew through it staring at her giant phone. After that I was waiting to turn left at a busy red light and counted a pretty large percentage of people driving while staring at their phones. Quite a few minivan driving moms with kids in the back, too.

I always honk at people if I see them looking down on their phone. I don't give a shite.

They probably go straight to Facebook to complain to their girlfriends about rude drivers.

They just use it here as another excuse to pull someone over for drinking and driving, which is big, easy money. It's in the same category as not wearing your seat belt to cops in LA

When I'm on the expressway in Chicago, virtually every time I'm behind a car that is leaving it's lane or drifting onto the shoulder, it's a person texting. That shite is dangerous yet people are oblivious.

I have almost been hit walking across my apartment parking lot due to people texting while driving out - the guy in the apartment was hit and hospitalized for several weeks - lost the hearing in his right ear from it.

the apartments say they cant do anything about it.

I'd rather not get hit at all after seeing how badly my neighbor got fricked up.
