Drove past this scene on my way to work yesterday morning. The young woman was decapitated. The log truck stalled in the middle of the road, people on the scene say they truck driver as well as others were flagging traffic, and that she wasn't paying attention and almost ran one over. She never applied the brakes. Log went thru the front windshield. When they approached the vehicle, her phone was still in her hand. She was rushing to work at the local sonic. Gruesome scene and I wish I never saw it.

RIP. Don't text and drive. You endanger yourself and others when you do so.

Sheriff's association needs to figure out a way to make more money off of texting and driving, because it causes wrecks way more often than reported

People are scared to fly, worried that a terror attack will kill them, etc, but people text while driving kills way more people and everyone continues to do it as if its no big deal. I don't know if people think "it will not happen to me" or what, but if you have to have to text someone just pull over.. As long as you are driving just put your phone away.

more respect for the victim and family for that. I'm sure someone will post them somewhere sooner or later. I have no desire to have that in my phone. I wish I could erase the image from my memory.

Don't text and drive.
Don't drink and drive.
Don't play with your phone and drive.

Only bad things come from that.

I live in a university town. Really smart kids. Strict laws. Blah. Blah. Blah.

I have to dodge them every day. It doesn't seem to phase them that they are constantly crossing the line into on-coming traffic. As long as they get it right by the time they get to me, all is good. Correct?

Hard to fault them though. I am sure that what they are doing must be really, really important and time sensitive.
