Just like you can't unsuck a dick, the dude is a freaking CHILD MOLESTER. Period. He will always be a child molester. He has right to work in any profession he chooses...but every boss in the world has a right to not hire him.

He's not banned from playing pro baseball. Its just that no MLB team wants to draft or sign a guy that was convicted of sexually assaulting a child. Its a huge PR black eye for a team over a player who would likely be in their minor league system for a while and may never even get called up to the majors.

You are incorrect, McDonald's would not hire him. They do background checks and they do not hire sex offenders due to the fact they cater to children.

I do believe you've lost your mind, sir.

For which he has a viable solution: go find a life somewhere out of the public eye.

Of course, that won't pay anything close to what a MLB job will, which is really what this is all about: why can't a child molester who has payed his debt make gobs of money? Not the question of why can't the guy go find a life somewhere away from the mob.

Do you have kids?

You'd be cool if he were hired at your kid's daycare?

I'm not excusing it

But he was fricking 15
So, your argument is that a 15 year old doesn't know any better to not diddle a 5 year old over the course of 2 years?

And not only that, he's also only five years removed from that.

(What I posted in another thread on the More Sports Board):

Given the girl's age at the time, I just can't overlook it. I'm sorry. I can't. Although it would still be screwed up if the girl was 11 at the time (Heimlich was 15 or 16), I could somehow be a little more open minded to hearing opposing views.

A four year old though...that is something so sick, so sadistic, so evil...I simply cannot overlook it. I won't.
