and it would've all stayed hidden if he had renewed his Oregon sex offender registration and not had an Oregon case started

There is no such thing as a right to work for another unless it is provided for by contract.

Maybe he can go play in Japan or Korea or something.

If Thailand has a baseball league that's where he would play, they actually encourage his kind.

The OP seems to have the terminology wrong . . . the player in question has a "right" to work but he does not have the "privilege" to be employed in the profession he seems best qualified for unless an owner of a franchise extends him an offer. There are morals clauses in employment contracts for many occupations.

Just like Ray Rice will never play another NFL down, this LHP will never pitch in pro baseball.
The headache and never ending media scrutiny is not worth the headaches.

Like Kapernick, no one wants to deal with the baggage.

I'm surprised Mixon is getting a chance in the NFL.

Why don't you hire him to do work around your home and family?

Leadership by example.

I think we've lost our collective fricking minds that the public mob is going to create a situation where What he did when he was 15 ruins his life.

Agreed on that. I just don't think the people outside the game should be voicing anything.

What about what he did to the little girl? You don't think her life is ruined?

That's exactly what you're doing, excusing it.

What if he murdered his parents in their sleep at 15?

Would you just say he was fricking 15 and doesn't deserve to have his life ruined?

Give me a fricking break. 15, 16, 30, 40 He molested a 4 year old for 2 years. Who gives a shite if his life's ruined?

You have a right to work.

You do not have a right to work wherever you want regardless of your past history.

No, your point is just a stupid one. You should know right and wrong by age 15, and if you don't, be prepared to live with the consequences

I'm supposed to react to all crimes the way i would react to double murder?

Congratulations on your emotionally driven non logic

Imagine your daughter wants to go to a game. You walk down to the dugout to get autographs. Then you see him standing there. Would you want your kid to get his autograph? Talk to your kid? Look at your kid? Teams don't want that around the dugout. What he did was fricked up and he will pay for it the rest of his life. He served a bullshite sentence and paid his legal consequence but society can say frick you forever if they want. And should. Maybe he should have registered and not made it a national story.

I'd think most people would agree molesting a 4 year old over a 2 year span is pretty high up there when compared to all crimes.

It seems you're admitting if he did something terrible like a double murder that his life should be ruined regardless of his age.

Bottom line, stop making excuses for this trash.

Have you read all TD boards?

Which is why this stuff shouldn't become a newspaper article.

Because we hate his actions and anyone with a memory will never hire this guy for anything.

Used to be if someone was a criminal...the neighborhood knew...but someone could move on to another state and move on with their life after paying their dues to the state.

I mean, this guy was outed to the entire freaking nation.

This isn't the 1950's - it's 2017 where everybody knows your name.

So the better question is question is when does someone no longer have the right for EVERYONE in America to not know your life history.
