I panic every time my mom calls me. Just sheer terror if I look at the caller ID and it says "mom"
When I was 12 I was staying the night at a friend's house and she called early the next morning and told my friends mom that she was coming to get me. I knew something was fricked up. We got home and she told me that my grandpa had died. That was the first death in the family that I recall, and now I almost have a panic attack every time she calls me.

Snakes are my biggest fear, period. I got chased by a water moccasin when I was young, and even the sight of one is enough to send shivers down my spine. I spend a lot of time in the woods, so always have a sidearm to defend from them. I never get close enough to tell if it's poisionious or not.

That I will be convicted of a serious crime like murder when in fact I am 100% innocent.
The stories where people have been locked up for 20+ years before they are found to have been innocent and then get released are really sad.

I also have an irrational fear of bats. I know they don't frick with people, but they love flying inches over your head which just terrifies me.

Being out in the ocean and somehow getting stuck there. I can just imagine seeing a fin rise up out of the water while I'm trying to swim to shore. I'm not a shark fan.

Rapist, serial killer clown breaks into my house kidnapping one of the kids. I wake up to find one missing and the only clue left behind is one big red shoe.

Sitting on a toilet that has a spider hiding under the lid. I usually will check before sitting. Never in my life have I found one there before so not sure why it's a fear.

Alzheimer's, ALS, or my biggest is Huntingtons disease. It's genetic and you have to watch a parent lose their mental and physical ability. all while knowing its very likely you will be diagnosed and have the same stuff happen to you and possibly your kids if you have them.
What is Huntington's Disease?

Old bridges and carnival rides.

A friend of mine has an extreme fear of any bridge. She can't go over the Lake Charles bridge without having a serious panic attack. Even when she's just a passenger.

When I was a kid I saw another kid hit a curb on his bike and flip over the handlebar landing on his face and breaking most of his front teeth. I can still hear the sound of his teeth shattering on the pavement. Ever since then I have had a huge fear of tripping/falling and busting my teeth out, and I am very careful if I am stepping over something while on a hard surface

Achilles tendon smashed.
During a soccer game in high school, a kid from Northshore high ruptured his Achilles. Heard the pop from across the field, and his leg turned black and blue. That's a bad image that was mostly forgotten until you brought this up.

I'm always scared I'm going to grab a knife and while walking to the table, go to scratch my head/face and stab the shite out of myself.
Never came close to doing it, but it is an irrational fear.
