back in the day worked at the Bengal and the Caterie at the same time, some of the most fun I've ever had, and got more arse than a toilet seat

Never had the luxury of a job you could screw off in.
Grave digging for the family. At least the customers didn't complain. Wait - I don't miss that. At all.
I sorta miss lifeguarding. That led to quite a few mis-adventures because I could take the ski boat to work and party afterwards in the lake.
But don't miss hay bailing. Or the house construction gigs. Or insurance debit route collections.
Damn. I think I missed out on life.

And the casino itself was some trashtastic people watching opportunities as well.
I bet you came across some interesting people on a regular basis. For some reason I was always curious about this. How common was it for people to get free drink after free drink (while playing penny machines or something) and not tip?

I worked there May 1999 until December 2000. Only worked Friday and Sat nights each week.

Okay. I started there in '02-'03 and worked for a couple of years before moving to Biloxi, came back because of Katrina, then back to Biloxi when the Beau reopened.

Checking oxygen on a catfish farm at night during the summers. Buddies and chics would always come out and ride pond levees all night with me shooting varmints that are plentiful on a huge fish farm.

It was a fun place to work at though imo.
As a cocktail waitress...if the really trashy nontippers got on my nerves I would just take my sweet time bringing their drinks and focus on those customers that were actually tipping. You didn't even have to tip me that much. Fifty cents a round and you were not going thirsty if I was working where you were sitting at.
Best part of the job...we are bringing free drinks...so people can't complain too much about the service.
