Worked golf course maintenance for quite a while as a youngster.

shite was awesome, 6-2:30 schedule and just had fun during the day. Had a cool superintendent and coworkers.

It's been a long time but a couple of summers I helped to train police dogs for the City of Birmingham.

I had a wonderful boss, but he sure was picky about ALWAYS using those dark-arse perp costumes.

This what you wanted?

Maintenence/Greenskeeper at a country club. Spend all day outdoors working the golf course then play 9 when I got off. The superintendent lived on the course so he would show up or call in and tell us what we needed to do then we wouldn't see him. We'd spend all day riding around drinking and smoking pot and flirting with the girls at the pool.

Worked at the Co-op in my late teens. Driving forklifts and skid steers, bagging feed, making deliveries. Lot of fun.

Bartender... My spot was next to the girls bathroom. Money was OK for a college bar, but the fringe benefits was well worth it.

Worked for my parents in their convenience store. It didn't pay well but I enjoyed it even when pulling an 18 hour shift. We lived in the same area so I not only loved the work but the interaction with the community and many of the relationships I built last to this day. My Step Dad grew up dirt poor and didn't think twice about extending credit to most any regular customer. Many people tell me to this day how grateful they were. We sold out in '96 and he had about $30,000 of unpaid credit on the books.

Lifeguard at the Uclub a couple summers in college. Everyone I worked with was very chill. All the cart girls were smoking hot. Got to play the course for free, along with free icees and discounted clubhouse meals. Life will probably never again be so easy.

I did like my job of delivering mail throughout Ole Miss. It was to buildings more than mailboxes where they further sort it. Just got stoned as shite on the job. It was awesome and we constantly hit up Smoothie King. Also set up conferences. Best job on campus.
