indians raising the issue.
"Indians" is used in the commercial so I use it.

People need to get over themselves.

Literally no one on the planet thinks the word Redskins is meant in a racial manner.

If they say they do, they are lying.

The vast majority of native Americans don't think it's racist. A couple of white people decided it was and then it blew up

I don't have much of an opinion on the issue but this is the first thing Google gave me.

I respect your opinion. The add is from a Native American Tribe. On one side, many conservative posters ITT are saying that liberals are telling everybody the name "Redskin" is racist. Yet, all of the conservatives are saying the name "Redskins" is not racist. You, generally speaking, are making broad assed generalizations just like Liberals. FYI,m y mom worked as a nurse on the Cherokee nation reservation. Trust me, they do not like the term "Redskins"

Stupid waste of time and energy.

A controversy perpetuated by the weak of mind who wish to find something in life to complain about.

Personally I don't care what they or any other team call themselves, I certainly don't think they should be forced to change it or anything. Just don't try to tell me that it's "not racist", because it definitely is. But, like I said, if Dan Snyder or any other team wants to have a racist mascot and the league is okay with it then have at it.

Still don't care. Their wailing and gnashing if teeth doesn't sway me one iota.

go back in time, to when the team was named, I think it started with the Boston Braves, and show how the naming of this team was racially motivated, they were/are trying to get people to buy their product, they wouldn't exclude potential sales by intentionally coming up with an offensive brand name, jeez, that came out of left field

I think we need to take the focus off of this and put it onto something that is actually important...something that matters. No one has given a shite for how many years? Why all of a sudden in the last 4 months has this become an issue?

You don't see the difference between "Brave" or "Chief" and "Redskin"???

Again, I really don't give a damn what the want to name their team, I am not at all advocating that they change the name, but this "it's not racist" stuff is just comical.
