It's going to end up happening no doubt. Once the movement starts these days, it's almost impossible not to succumb to the pressure.

I have lived in Northern Virginia since 1973. I have never been able to bring myself to be a Redskins fan. I hate Dan Snyder. But I applaud his decision to tell everyone who wants him to change his team's name to go frick themselves.

I think the controversy is stupid.
Since they will ultimately change their name due to pressure, I'd suggest Washington Warriors and keep everything you have now.
Eventually it might even be politically incorrect to identify a pro team with a city, state or region because it might discriminate against people who don't live in that area, or who are not originally from that city/area, or who are alienated from it for some reason known only to the bleeding hearts (who seem to know best for all of us).
When will it all end? They will take as much as the rest of us will give them.

I refuse to listen to arguments on this or give it any thought until a group comprised solely of members of recognized Native American (frick, is that even the correct term anymore? Damn PC asshats.) members raises it as an issue. When someone with a dog in the fight complains, I will listen.
