Don't have a pic (don't do instagram).
Here is a link to the same style, it isn't much to look at on the outside really. Link is a 1919 sangamo and mine is an 1899 sangamo

The inside is where it's at though. You take the back off and there are 23 tiny rubies inside and you can see the moving parts as it ticks away. Really cool something so old is in perfect shape and ticks away perfectly.

They act as bearings for some of the moving parts. Synthetic ruby (corundum) is common - very hard and smooth. In finer watches, in addition to being functional, provides a very nice visual element to the watch movement - of course some watches you can see this in the case of a sapphire back, and in some only if you remove the case back.
