Here's my dilemma. A friend showed me his bill and is was for 12,593 gallons of water/sewage. I ran some numbers and it just doesn't add up that he could consume that much water as a single guy. Hardly ever waters the lawn and shuts off the faucet while brushing. Also has high end appliances designed to conserve water. Avg monthly bill during the summer has been $160. Doesn't add up to me.

Does he have a pool or share in a HOA with sprinkler system and/or pool?

About 6 months ago, our neighborhood HOA culdesac sprinkler was leaking pretty bad and our whole street got a $150+ water bill that month.
