Having a Foley catheter removed after wearing it for a week. The first piss after the removal brought tears to my eyes.

Broke my leg in high school during football practice. (Have done worse things but this was the most painful). Laying on field was not in pain but could tell moving my leg was not an option. Coach and trainer told me I just strained a muscle. Told them I heard it snap. Left me there with ice on it for 30-40 minutes. They came back asked if I wanted to get up. I said no it's broke. They had me bend my leg and right at the bend of the knee you saw the bone raise through the skin. At that point it was the worse pain I felt. They still did not believe me. So I said can you call my dad and have him come get me then. They did and since he was only five blocks away he got there quick. By time he arrived my shin had swollen to be bigger than my thigh.

Closest I've ever been to passing out. Could barely answer the nurse's questions. Felt like a knife stabbing it's way out of me.

Hernia was painful, broken arm unset for days hurt. But the worst was when my little sister threw a brick at me and caught my big toe right on the nail. Swole up and the pressure the blood put underneath my nail was the worst throbbing pain I have ever felt. I was 12, and my mom gave me some of my fathers drugs. He was dying of brain cancer. We had a maid name Essie, and she soaked my foot in Epsom salt. Then heated a straight needle with a match, and stuck it straight into the nail. Once it made it thru, the blood squirted out like a water pistol. And with it, the pain.

Tie. Dislocated my elbow, and broke my arm at the same time. Also, I tore two ligaments in my knee, as well as my hamstring tendon.

I was seven and allowed to get a double dip cone at Baskin Robbins. As I stepped off the curb to get into the car that top dip, which hadn't been pressed to the lower, toppled off onto the ground. Still feeling the pain and regularly overcompensate by killing a half gallon. I hope that server has to eat burned grilled cheese every day in hell

Gout makes me howl in pain.

I used to get gout. It was really painful. My doctor gave me indomethacin. Two pills would stop the pain. That medicine was a miracle drug!

I swore I would never be without that drug again!

I had a KNOT on my sac and they got this NEEDLE out to deaden the pain...I almost come off the table.. He then took a blade and just barely touched it and there was shite spraying everywhere.........OUCH..

BUT having to puke after hernia surgery was probably the worst.......

But the most I have EVER hurt was when I lost everything to a fire.. The pain inside was unbearable at times...

for me: stepped on a giant tapestry needle which was sticking UP out of a carpet. it went straight into my foot and had to have it dug out at the hospital. The throbbing pain aftewards was horrible. still nothing compared to:

husband: has had meningitis 7 times and then brain surgery...they didn't tell him that they withhold pain meds after that kind of surgery so they can monitor brain function/responses. I've never seen someone in so much pain. He's also had 21 spinal taps.

son: was shot through the thigh in Afghanistan. He said it was excruciating.

Ingrown toe nail that required medical intervention....that lidocaine shot was so much worse than childbirth....and paper cuts. Damn those things hurt.

Hunting accident about 12 years ago. Got airlifted out of the field. Ended up with a screw and a couple pins in my elbow and a little nerve damage in that hand. All in all I was real lucky and made a full recovery. It didn't actually hurt, it was just numb, until after I got to the operating room and I heard the doctor say that I was going to keep my arm. I guess my adrenaline shut off and then it hurt like a son of a bitch and I went into shock. Lesson learned, do stupid shite, pay the price.
