We grew up mostly with Suburbans...

My mom had a maroon one, then a tan one, then another tan one, then another maroon one, and then she finally changed it up and got a maroon Jaguar S-Type when they first came out. We went through a lot of vehicles since I was a kid all the way through my senior year of HS.

My parents had a 1984 Dodge Caravan with the (fake) wood panel package and wire spoke wheels. I remember that it broke down routinely. They stuck to Chevy trucks and Japanese cars after that Caravan died.

Mom's ride except with a landau top and swivel bucket seats.

Dad's truck except in a darker red.

He bought both brand new, sold the Monte Carlo about 10 years ago, the truck is still sitting in his driveway right now, even though he died last year.

When I was really young, we had one kinda like this:

I'm not sure what it was, it was a big grey oldsmobile with a white vinyl top. The seatbelts were all metal and they'd burn the frick out of you if it sat in the sun for a few minutes.

Later on this:

'86 Honda Accord hatchback

My dad was always driving some beater he picked up for a few hundred bucks, he worked offshore a lot.

My mom had some 70s corolla right when I was born and then got a 84 Honda Civic. Then at some point went to a dodge caravan.
