Idk about size choices. But these things aren’t rare. Fairly common.

I’m not a urologist so idk how exactly the surgery works

Penile implants can’t add any length, barely any girth. It just provides functionality for erections.

Usually only performed if the ED is bad enough that Cialis/viagra won’t work nor will the penile erection injections won’t work either.

Probably more than 50% of the cases I do with urologists are kidney stone related.

The size of the implant is determined by the the length of the two parallel cylinders that make up the erectile tissue of the penis.

During the surgery those two cylinders, that fill with blood and expand during a normal erection, are quite literally reamed out with dilators until they are basically hollow. The prosthetic is two inflatable tubes that replace that newly hollowed area in the penis.

A pump is then placed in the scrotum, a reservoir of fluid in the lower abdomen. When it’s time for sex, you pump it up. Fluid goes from the reservoir and inflates the two new cylinders.

It’s a brutal surgery.

Extra length is impossible. You are confined to the original length of the erectile tissue.

Half of the patients I see are female with bladder issues: over active bladder, urinary incontinence, recurrent urine infections

When I went because it hurt when I peed, they asked some questions, drew blood, had me pee in a cup. They called me to say there was blood in my urine. Had me come back in for another blood test. They called me and said I didn't have cancer, then suggested my Warfarin level may be high & causing a very small amount of bleeding. I lowered the dose. Everything down there has been fine/

The proctologist and the Dr. who did our high school physicals did the poking.

Urologist helped clean up all of the cancer stuff I went through by ripping out lymph nodes and my right kidney because of the damage the tumors and chemo did to it.

All I remember about the procedure was pissing a huge chunk of bloody tissue following it.

Congrats on the transition.
