Is Purina Pro-Plan grain free?
I think I feed my 8 month old golden retriever the chicken & rice puppy blend.

My dog has a horrible food alergy when it comes to grains in food so we tried this out and it works like a champ. No more gas or runny stool. We pay around $30-35 for a 12 lb bag.

My dog gets Orijen Adult during the summer and EVO red meat during the winter. Substantial difference in energy, coat, etc

Can you list a few dog and puppy foods that have healthy grains or a healthy amount of grains that are in your opinion great food options for dogs and puppies? I'm not opposed to grains, but I do not want to fill my puppy with massive amounts of grains that contain no or little nutritional value.

This almost certainly can not be literally true. NO food is better than another? Doesn't ring true.
That said, this thread does seem to indicate that there are a very wide variety of foods people have had success with. And no consensus about a "best" food.
I change up the food I give my dog every once in a while. Just because I think even a dog must get tired of eating the same shite every single day.

Freshpet Vital Grain Free Roll. My dog was having allergy problems so we switched from Wellness. She used to require a food bowl with a rfid chip because she wouldn't eat the food when I put it down and my other would. With this stuff, she woofs it down as soon as I cut it up. Her allergies have cleared up.
