I'm sure you know far more about dog nutrition than the assistant professor of clinical nutrition at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

I'm sure guys that run dog kennels and go through thousands of lbs of dog food a year and see results first hand knows a little more about "whats good dog food". Frankly, I don't really care what that guy says, I care about what my dog says. Enjoy that soft serve bro

eta: I'm not arguing about this any longer. Feed what you want. If your dog is happy that's all that matters.

Yep. I have it on subscription. Two bags every month. I have a small pack of dogs.

All a dog needs is two squirrels a day.

Don't pamper them and they'll respect you more.

Purina ProPlan, Pedigree, Science Diet are all good brands. Blue Buffalo is shite and will cause skin problems and GI problems. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Tractor Supply has a brand called 4 Health that my dog really enjoys. She has a sensitive stomach and other brands made her sick.

We use Nutro, for our Collie mix and Beagle mix. We're fostering an old boy who needs grain-free, and are giving him Iams naturalistics grain-free.

When my labs were alive (they lived between 13 and 14 years) I fed them Purina One.

It's been awhile but I seem to remember the different vets I used trying to push one type of food one year, then a couple years later another. It was always whatever new placebo stuff they had in their office. I specifically remember lamb and rice and then duck and potato amongst several others.

Used to feed my two purina. Energy was fine, but always had asian coming out there eyes. One was fat, one was skinny.

Switched to blue buffalo, eyes are always clear, skinnier one gained some weight while staying active, fatter one lost weight, but is still only active when it's not hot as shite outside. Could easily see the difference in health in both of them, for the better.

Whatever you do, go grain free. Haven't researched in awhile, but the 4 Health grain free at Tractor Supply was rated really high and was a good value. I feed my critters the 4 Health Duck and Potato.
