Never owned a gm vehicle, but what is the overall opinion on the new GMC sierra? Looks? Performance? 5.3L or 6.2L?

If you are even considering not getting 6.2L 4x4, you might just want to keep your Fiat 500.

I'm a fan. Love the Silverado too.

The numerous recalls have me concerned that GM didn't address some of the niggling qualty issues that plagued the previous gen. Still, there is no finer gas engine on the planet than the 6.2. Robust, excellent economy, and very reliable.

If I was considering the smaller V-8, I would look hard at the F-150

The 6.2 is a beast. That's the only reason to get one over an F-150, IMO. The backseat is considerably less roomy than the F-150 and the Tundra.

The body style looks dated to me and the interior doesn't come near to the F150....

True.

The F150 has the largest rear interior room in its class. Even larger than the F250.

Man, I routinely got 19 hwy on my 6.2 AWD. It was far better than the 2006 5.4 f150 I had.

What gears are you running?

They cleaned them up a lot with the new 2014 model. I had a 2010 and hated it, literally fell apart. The f 150 is a lot bigger.

I guess thats why I like the body style, because its kinda squared off, i guess its a little old school looking. As for the interior, I thought GM did a good job on the interior redesign. They were light years behind the fords a few years ago, but at the very least I think they've closed the gap a lot. If not as nice as the fords, you believe GM is still really far behind the ford f-150 interior?
