A good hangover will even throw depression on top of your anxiety

Horrible horrible horrible. The worst.

I am affected stomach-wise. Crazy the shite you learn to do to your mind. As a kid, I couldn't control it and stressful/anxious situations would cause me to have to miss school doubled over in pain. Was even rushed to the ER for it. Somehow, I have been able to mostly control my mind as I've gotten older. I can even force myself to have an "attack" of sorts on command to "get it out of my system" (ha, sorry TMI) if I know I am going somewhere in public where I don't want to deal with the pain.

Weird shite. But yeah, that hangover depression is a bitch.

I love coffee and caffeine. But to much of it can lead to outright paranoia

I find resting my head on some boobs can be quite calming

What about some form of therapy where someone can walk you through your anxiety and help let go of it? Don't do medication unless you really need it.

I don't think I would ever consider medication. Medical marijuana, maybe. Pills like Lexapro or Welbutrin XL? frick that.

I had one in law school. Should've quit then. My body was telling me to get the frick out. But I'm stupid and didn't listen.

If anyone says a gf, they are wrong.

You need to go and discover yourself like a hobby or something that is productive but you are proud of.

For me, I live walking. Often times after a long walk I come up with a few ideas along the way that I can pursue when I return from the walk. What's good about that is usually my anxiety is about research and writing.

Me too, bro. My first one happened in law school, too. I didn't know what it was. I thought it was the AIDS. Went to the student clinic and they ran the tests. Told me it had to have been a panic attack.

I'm still convinced it's super ninja AIDS. You never know it's there and it escapes testing.

Saw this in an earlier post but it was sort of glossed over.

Plan your day. Write it down. Be flexible with the schedule, but once you have it down and you see how much you have to do and what can/needs to be accomplished, it's easier to systematically tackle your work or errands or whatever is causing you stress

I didn't go to the doc for mine. Just felt tingly, became disoriented, felt a crushing weight against my chest, my breathing became labored. I went and lay down on a couch I think. I can't remember. I think I slept. Freaked me the frick out. I blocked out much of it.

Mine was weird. I just woke up one day and couldn't eat. That went on for 3 days. I was walking down the hall and I saw a friend and I couldn't see her because my vision was so bad. She told me to go to the doctor so I did.

I was fine but severely dehydrated. Luckily I had been taking vitamins because I wasn't eating. It was just weird.

In case you are serious:

Stay away from caffeine. I switched from regular diet coke to caffeine free and it has really made a big difference for me.

Anyone have any good meditation or exercise techniques?

Relaxation yoga is excellent for this. Fewer poses held for longer time meant to help your body relax.

Deep belly breathing with eyes closed in a cool, dark, quiet room.

Also, when you feel panicky, go for a brisk walk. It's amazing what this will do for you anxiety or panic attacks.

I work out like crazy when I'm healthy. I'm currently going insane because I either heavily bruised or slightly fractured my arse bone and couldn't do shite for 2 months. I just get healthy and immediately get the worst flu ever last week. It's been brutal.

The coccyx takes an eternity to heal. It's ridiculous.

Why frick that?

Why do you voluntarily continue to be miserable?

I have been on that stuff. I got fat, lazy, and had no sex drive.

So, I had two choices: be ripped, look good, but feel like shite, or, look like the average TD poster and not care about anything.
