About 20 years ago, I was at the Westin hotel on the waterfront NOLA having a few drinks with some friends at the bar. We met some dude who moved from out of town who said he had been studying at Tulane for the past two years.
I asked him, “Where are you from?”
He said “Palestine.”
I pointed out the window and said, “Oh, I’m from the Westbank, too!” (The dude got the reference & laughed out loud .)
I had been waiting to use that joke ever since the early 80’s as a young teen when I found out there was actually another area called the Westbank.
