Yes.
Fought back.
Got my arse kicked.
Became friends with the bully, who retired after our fight

Grew up on Army bases, your actions could get your parent in trouble, blacked a couple eyes and bloodies a few noses in self defense but nothing serious either way.

Until people realised I'd stab them

I only remember being bullied once. It was in 4th grade. A sixth grader kneed me in the nuts for no reason. My brother, who was also a sixth grader beat him up at the bike rack after school. No one ever bothered me after that.
I don't remember ever bullying anyone. I never participated in hazing kids playing sports in high school, or in the frat at college. I was a pretty nice kid. Didn't get mean until I was in my 30's.

There was one kid at school who got picked on a lot. He would eventually snap and attack with a brick, stick, or anything else he could get his hands on.
His fighting back slowed it down some, but the bullying continued to adulthood. One night at a bar he had enough and fatally wrapped a pool cue around a bully’s head. He got charged with manslaughter, but a jury acquitted him.

Yeah I used to get bullied back in high school. But one day this weird new kid showed up who always walked around with a life preserver on, who helped me get over my bully. I ended up punching the bully when he tried to steal my girl, and he became a total pussy. He waxes my car nowadays.

Not really in elementary school. But in high school I was bullied alot. Usually by kids from shitty homes and low IQ morons trying to make themsleves feel better. I felt bad for them. Luckily I had my own friends and good parents. It must be tough to have to lash out at your peers because you have no self control and your parents are complete failures.
Everyone gets bullied at some point. If you're comfortable in your own skin you shrug it off. Bullies are 9 out of 10 times insecure and internally struggling with something. Usually shitty parenting.
This goes for verbal and emotional bullying. Physical bullying is different. If you are physically bullied you need to fight back. Most physical bullies are actually cowards and go after perceived weak kids.
I was physically bullied once in elementary school. I fought back hard. I didnt whip the kids arse or anything, we both got some punches in. But he left me alone after that.
The next year he was bullying a friend of mine that wouldn't fight back so I fought him again. He left all of us alone after that.
There are a lot of posts in this thread about beating someone so bad that they got hurt and went to the hospital. That's not the way to fight back against a bully. Don't have to beat the kid into submission. At that point, you just become a bully yourself.

Briefly.......he bled all over the shiny white floor in the schools main hallway.
That ended the bullying.

Like Mike Tyson said, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth". A punch in the mouth will end the bullying because bullies are cowards.

I was a small kid.. got bullied In jr high. Freshman year I finally had enough and punched the bully. He beat the crap out of me.. I ended up fighting him 3 times before I finally won. By my senior year my football coaches called me rooster. They said I was little but would jump on anything.

Yes. It stopped the day I snapped and broke the bully's nose in front of a crowd. Got a 3 day suspension, worth every second.
I know now a days I would be expelled and possibly thrown in juvie. Sad a kid can't stand up for himself anymore
Same damn thing happened to me. I always think back as to how cliche’ this moment was but how it was like something from an ABC after-school special but it was the moment I realized that I didn’t have to take shite from anyone

Sure I was bullied. Then I went to high school, made better friends, lifted weights and played football. Things got better. I think everyone gets bullied from time to time. How you respond is what matters.

Yea until I beat the kids arse to the point they sent him to the hospital with a broke nose and concussion. Think I held him on the ground and walloped him hard as I could at least 20 times
Nobody fricked with me anymore after that. I received a week suspension and free gift card to sonic

I was. It changed me. I don't trust people and always assume the worst even when my face shows a smile.
That happened 15 years ago. A fight would have been better for me.

I never was. I was bigger than most people at that age so I was generally left alone. I definitely saw it happen to others though.

I had two older brothers so I learned to fight early. I think I bullied more than I got bullied. Both my brothers had reputations as being bad asses so I think I got a pass from the older kids because they didn’t want to piss off my brother and his thug friends.

I was, but it's different today vs when I was a kid in the 80s or 90s.
shite doesn't stop when you go home now with social media. Kids are fricking ruthless today. Rite of passage nonsense of long ago isn't acceptable any longer.
Some of the shite I got in my day wasn't acceptable either, kid got kicked out of school.

When I first moved back to Louisiana from San Francisco I was in 7th grade. A bunch of dudes kept saying I was gay. One of them tried to start a fight with me. The thing was I had been taking jiu-jitsu in San Francisco. I ended up with the dude in an Americana and I would't let go until he screamed that he was a little bitch.
