Keep Sumrall warm. We will need him someday soon.
He's here for three reasons: 1. He knows us 2. We have an NIL collective and some rich old people that will bolster a rebuild 3. There is a recent history of success here, and if he wins BIG he gets to go back home (he's a U...
I live in the DMV and I am NOT surprised at all. ...
In the past 20 years: They ruined CUSA and the Sun Belt. They ruined the Big East. They ruined the XII. They ruined the PAC. ...and now they are going to ruin the ACC. We are running out of conferences to destroy, folks....

This was a 6-6 USF team. They are being made to look like world beaters right now....
Neither party is in the wrong nor do they look all that bad in the interview. It was just a shite conversation that had to happen....
This is something they definitely have to change before next season. We can't go into the first 12 team playoff with 6 auto-bids. It should be the 4 highest ranked champions from the SEC, B1G, ACC, Big 12, and G5. The Big 12 and G5 shouldn't both get an auto-bid.
B1G SEC XII ACC...

JMU are going to remain sneaky good for a long time I fear....
If he's coaching at Kentucky in 3-4 years then that means Tulane is one step closer to the ACC or PAC rebuild. It would actually be a sign of success....
The best thing about hitting a primary target is that I don't expect the Year 1 falloff to go lower than like 8-5. Any news of Tulane's downfall may be premature. ...
Sumrall taking it, done deal. Or as done as these things can be prior to the press conference. Great hire for Tulane.
No notes. I'm cool with the hire. I personally found the Calhoun hire more intriguing but I totally get the Sumrall hire....
This isn't a bad hire, just a very strange one. Like you wouldn't see this coming....
You sound confident. Sounds like Tulane is scheming something up from out of the bleachers. This is gonna be interesting. ...
So they didn’t buy Fritz and his comments about retiring here. ...
He’s a former Tulane player - so one of us. Very good DC, but can he lead a full program? He definitely can connect with recruits. Baker is not the best possible hire but is not a bad one at all. ...
That was chickenshit. You're down 21 to a team that can put up 50 if asked. You need to gamble with as bad as the defense has been....

It's a SA reporter - which is curious. IDK, he was gone last year until he wasn't and then he got a raise. ...

Money won't be why he leaves - it will be conference affiliation and a head start on facilities. If he wants to gamble and take a step up he will. If he just wants to drive a wagon until he gets a statue built, he will. Wait and see....

Is this official anywhere or just on whispers? ...
Houston is a better job right now than Tulane, even though Tulane has done a great job at making itself an acceptable one. However, there are two snags I see: - Fritz is 64, and that means he's looking for one final contract before retirement - does UH want someone younger? - How fast of a tr...
If Elko goes to Aggy as now seems likely, Duke would be a helluva lot better job for Fritz than UH. This assuming, as some have said, that Fritz has his mind made up on leaving Tulane.
Fritz is an expert at being disloyal and then randomly staying here. He's done it multiple times...
