The scholarship in question is probably worth a few grand and I don't think there's a monetary value on student government positions so I'm not really sure what you think the recoverable damages are in a case like this.

Imagine the outrage if he had that same conversation with these girls about their "suggestive dancing" lol the whole state's school budget would have went to the families. We all know that the latter conversation never would have happened because of the double standards on expected behaviors from students

right, she’s 17 years old, she probably puts more weight on positions and popularity than money. The principal sounds like a douche

What does it matter what she does at her house? Weirdo

You think Christian teachers are the most “power trippy”?

=/= what I posted

Teachers being power tripping assholes? No way!! I love how they’re always Christian’s too.

I just said they are power tripping assholes, not the most

Thanks for suggesting I put otherwise.

Likely, it will be a nice settlement, but there are First Amendment violations here, separation of church and state, and stalking a teen's social media then slut shaming her from a supervisory role is creepy.

LPS's insurance company isn't going to like this legal claim.

I think they want to give that scholarship to another student and were searching for any reason to pull it away from her.

Emotional distress, defamation, I’m sure Sherman Mack or whoever takes her case can come up with more.

They’re not suing for the scholarship cost, genius.

I wonder if she maybe had to sign a conduct code at some point.
Those are typically only for private religiously affiliated schools. Never heard of such a thing at public schools

Id imagine the attorney taking up with case will have to be completely disconnected from Livingston Parish. No way anyone there would bring a case against a favorite principal or even the LPSS.

I have no idea what the scholarship(s) she may have lost is/are worth but in the 80's my undergrad scholarship was worth over $40k for 4 years, a scholarship now especially to a private school could easily be worth north of $200k.

The video was posted on the DJ’s website as a promotional video. Rumor is a teacher (she was named but no proof was given) sent it to the principal. It sounds really personal, considering other girls and boys were dancing similarly.

I wonder how he felt about Cason Carver’s TikTok videos where he simulated sex in WHS uniforms and clothing?

ETA: Either on Livingston Rants and Raves or What’s Happening in Walker several people have posted that they have proof of him doing similar things to other students while covering up others. This could get really ugly for the school if they’re telling the truth.

There’s got to be more to this. The principal has to have some type of underlying issue with either the kid, her mom, or other family member.

Makes me wonder who gets the scholarship he pulled from her

The principal took her opportunity out because of “his religious beliefs”.

Makes you wonder if any other kids that applied were Jewish or Islamic and he turned down.

Big no no.

According to Timonet, the principal told Kaylee that her actions went against the Bible, and questioned her faith. She added that the assistant principal told Kaylee that she needed to make better choices and have better friends. The next morning, Timonet had a meeting with the principal, and she said that he mentioned he printed out Bible verses to show Kaylee Timonet. The principal told the mother that he believed his actions were appropriate.

This is a public school right???

Man, we wild out at my school graduation party. If this principal could have seen our catholic school party…
