It depends on how the contract is worded. I know in our district admin can't deny sick leave.

I’m willing to bet that he can’t be fired while on sick leave.

Willing to bet he won’t be fired at all and will be brought back after this all quiets down.

My first year on my current job, i didn’t take a single day off. The beginning of the next year i looked and it was all gone except for like 3 days of it. I’m sure it was in a handbook somewhere that they do that but they didn’t advertise that. Now, i take off random days and drain it all every year. Fkn bull shite to not carry it over.

You do realize the employer does not have to offer any sick leave.

I think someone in an adult position of leadership within LP needs to sit the LPPS board, principal, and Ms. Becnel (whatever in the world her title is) and explain the facts of life to them.

Any updates here? Are the people involved being allowed to quietly go away with no actual repercussions?

That's pretty much Livingston Parish.

I was a HS principal and off campus is exactly what it says -- off campus. I never involved myself in what went on off campus as a principal and coach unless the incident caused issues on campus. And even then, I only disciplined based on the on campus incident. To me, thar principal went way out of bounds.

I recall reading that it came out that she was just merely present in the meeting and not involved in what happened to Kaylee.

However, she was "reprimanded" by school board for her filthy tik tok video with her daughter that surfaced.
