I'm not saying he's wrong but now is not the time to worry about this.

This. He's elected to represent his people, not the interests of others in the state or federal government. I'd imagine his constituents appreciate the message his comments send.

Is there a bigger group of retards and crooks in Baton Rouge than DOTD?

So much of the flooding was caused by mismanagement by the state and feds. The Comite Diversion project, which has been on hold due to the feds for 30 years, would have alleviated much of the flooding in Central, Baker, and Zachary.

allowing more drainage under the interstate likely would have saved much of Walker.

Plugging the gap in the AP levees which end at Gold Place Road, which has been awaiting federal approval for at least 15 years, would have greatly reduced flooding there.

However, nothing would have prevented most of the flooding. It was simply too much water deposited too quickly for any systems to deal with.

Wouldn't they have been aware of the wall prior to it being built?

Sounds like he's got a good case. They might win the money, but good luck getting the government to make any physical improvements

Normally I'd be gung ho and root him on but there are people that still can't even get to their homes. If you're elected to serve the people, serve the people in their immediate need. The dick measuring can wait.

I would assume he can file a suit and take care of his duties just fine.

Not sure. A study is underway to fully answer this question. Check back in 3-5 years.

I guess I should have clarified that I don't think he should wait months or years. At least waiting for the courthouse to open would probably be prudent.

Yeah I'm sure he's been sitting on his arse scribbling out this lawsuit since last Thursday, doing nothing else. I'll bet the city of Walker doesn't even have attorneys to handle this kinda thing, I bet he thought it up last Thursday when he had a revelation while taking his morning shite. You have it figured out

And no, I'm not a resident of Walker or LP. Some of you people are just dumbasses, I'm sorry
