frickin beautiful. I like when my tax dollars go to that kinda stuff. Makes me feel safer knowing them dudes do that kinda shite during the day to be prepared to protect us here at our desks playing on the OT.

Off topic slightly but when's the last time a US fighter jet was in a real aerial duel?

Not to me. I rather enjoyed it. But I love some edm, except the shite Jones and LL like. Their drum and bass fetish is unbearable.

I figured you'd be shirtless while dancing to it rather than actually watching. Guess I was wrong.

Love the A-10.

I'll never forget the first time I saw one. Was working on my lake place in Vernon Parish (home of Ft Polk) when I heard this strange sound approaching. Two of those things came over at about 100 ft alt. Had never seen anything like that at all - thought they were ugly. Have heard them fire their gatling gun a few times when I was out closer to the firing range - awesome sound.

I came to love the way they look after I found out how bad-arse they were. I cannot believe the DOD is considering eliminating them.

Would be way cooler with some metal like Steel Panther but still cool.

We scored some Air to Air kills in the Balkans in the late 90's

Yes, it was Iraqi jets and tysonlefthook is correct. We had some MIG kills in the Balkans conflict.

Any of ours get shot down? I know we lost some to ground fire and RPG's but wondering if other aircraft took some of our planes down... (probably so I imagine)

are you serious Clark?

ETA: had a friend flying caps during first gulf war in a strike eagle over a no fly zone, two MiGs entered hauling arse in tandem, so my buddy and his wingman turned towards them, as soon as they were headed in their direction the trailing Mi shot down the lead, they're like WTF? but it's not nice to shoot your buddy, the penalty that day was death
