How so, professor? Please do tell me how Catholicism has never forced itself on others.

Thanks.

The soul is with God, so the physical vessel shouldn't matter.

I wasn't responding in particular to your post. You are aware, are you not, that after the Reformation many Catholics were persecuted by Protestants.

Get off your high horse, its shite stinks as bad as any other.

So...should I go gather up my Dad's ashes I scattered 14 years ago when they were still cool with it...?

It's shite like this which ought to drive any sane person away from believing any of this is anything but the whims of mortal men...

This is a trite remark that gets lazily applied to anything that even smells like organized religion.

So what about early Christian martyrs like this guy?

I guess his get rich quick scheme didn't pan out.

Older established religions weren't about money, that's correct. They were, however, about controlling the populace.

Every church is about control.

Yes. The question to which I was responding expressly asked about Catholicism. If you'd like for me to present criticisms against Protestantism specifically, or Christianity in general, I'm happy to do so.

Meh. I was responding to your asinine comment.

Kinda ironic since Catholics also think that a mortal man can somehow absolve you of your sins.

The great thing about Catholics is that we choose what rules we want to follow. So this is a non issue.

So the Catholic church thinks my mom's body was not my family's "private property" to deal with? Funny how it was MY responsibility to pay the bills to have her body transported, cremated and to pay to open the family vault to have her ashes put in. I didn't see the Catholic church there ready to pay for any of that or to offer one bit of help in any way so they shouldn't expect that I should give a dang on how they think I should have handled it. FWIW, I had cousins who were molested by a Catholic priest and the church didn't give a crap about their bodies being "a son of God who is part of the people of God". The kids and family were punished, threatened and left the church for good while the pedo-priest was promoted and carried on to molest more kids.

What a disgusting organization.

You are a shining example, Hot Carl. Like your version of christianing knows how to do it better than anyone elses.

The arrogance between sects is more hilarious than religion itself.
