I'm not in BR, so I couldn't tell you

Cost me a couple hundred total. Depends on your insurance

Mine was done with IV sedation, which I recommend.

I wore a jockstrap over by boxer briefs for 2 weeks

Three vasectomies will take a major toll on the body.

It’s not too bad, the injection to numb everything was worse than the procedure itself.
Just follow the doctors orders and take it easy for a few days with some frozen peas or an ice pack, and you’ll be good to go.
Had mine done on a Friday and back to work on Monday.

The pre-op visit was the most uncomfortable. The Dr. has you drop trou and he manually examines your sack.

The surgery visit wasn't bad. It was done in office. After I checked in the receptionist said she would tell me when to take the single valium I was prescribed and brought with me. She did. I did. Once back in the exam room, I was in a gown and on the table. A hot nurse came in a taped my dick to my stomach. She and my wife kept making dick jokes. The doctor cam in and we talked LSU baseball. He shot me with a local then went to work. I never felt anything more than a little movement. I saw some smoke and smelled some burning flesh. My wife made some comment about our kids never sharing child support with another woman's kids, and I was rolled out the door. A bag of peas and an afternoon of napping ensued. The next day, I had some dull pain and soreness, but nothing major. Day three I made a morning systems check and it everything worked, but the product was a little pink with blood. I never went back with the cup of jizz to get tested. So far, so good.

Just do it, my only regret is not doing it sooner. Oh and it hurts more than people say, so there's that.

Does it hurt worse than a hydrocelectomy?? Asking for a friend.

The procedure was no worse than getting your teeth cleaned, never experienced any pain during or after, no swelling at all. Was doing everything I normally do 24 hours later.

Im probably going in at the end of this year.

I’m legitimately terrified about the actual procedure and the after effects, but not nearly as terrified as I am of having another kid.

Any after effect stories?

Man, I'd be worried not doing this. I feel like getting checked once a year to make sure they don't fuse back. The hell with another kid.

The actual procedure felt excruciating and I almost puked. Good luck.

$400 for me. If they ask you if you’d like PRO NOX, say HELL YES. The shot was the only thing that was uncomfortable. Made me groan a bit. Didn’t feel the procedure at all. Didn’t smell the burning flesh smell that many complain about....but I did see the smoke.

Afterwards, that night and some of the next morning, I felt like I had been kicked in the nuts in my lower abdomen.....but my nuts didn’t really hurt. After that....it was just some random pain here and there. I got treated like a king for a week. 10/10 would do again.

I had it done old school method in 1977. razor burn was not near the irritation that the stubble caused for the next two months. with a local novocane shot similar to dentist after 15 minutes the doc went to work. he cut about a 3 inch slit in my sack and turned every thing inside out. locating the conduit, he took about an inch out and burned the ends. put every thing back inside and had to rearrange twice to get nuts on correct side. about six stitches required that were removed after a week.
the doc was very specific in consulting against getting a hard on during the operation. that stretches the conduit and makes it harder to work with. even to the extent of using male nurses only.
sack swole up bad for about three days. make sure they give you some good take-home meds. aspirin don't work

have fun

I dont know if people that say this are lying as a joke or I just had a bad Dr. But my experience was the complete opposite and a guy I work with concurred. They numb it with a shot make a small incision in the sack and then they root around in there with some clamps. Whatever it is they clamp onto the sperm tube or wtf ever it's called IS REALLY frickING SENSATIVE. When he clamped onto it it brought me back to a time when I was young helping castrate a horse. The old man cut the sack off with a pocket knife but that damn horse had sucked one up in high and it missed the cut. The old man rooted around in there searching for it and finally grapples it and pulled it out. The dam horse was tied to the side of the barn and tried his best to move but couldn't all he could do was roll his eyes back into his head and try to buck. This is exactly how I felt. It was a searing pain that ran up my spine all the way to the back of my head.
I agree with the other poster I didnt know if I wanted to puke or pass out. This I felt nothing shite boggles my mind.

The first shot/needle that goes directly into your nut will make you wanna jump off the table....Don’t !!! Pain only last for about 30 seconds and the rest is a cake walk.

Good luck
