There aren't a ton of absolutes in health, but one absolute is that the more active you are, the better your situation is gonna be. Look, running could arguably be better than walking, but walking is light years ahead of nothing. Bottom line is the best exercise is one that you're motivated to c...
I'll third the Gaslight Anthem for rock. The Wonder Years and Spanish Love Songs are great recommendations too. The Menzingers for rock as well. From Zach Bryan, I'll toss out Charles Wesley Godwin, Willi Carlisle and Ryan Bingham. From Outkast, JID and Earthgang are good rap in that same s...
Fight me, but Green Day's not a terrible band by any means. Especially in the 90's, their output is really solid. Best band, worst songs, the second half of ReLoad by Metallica has some really generic and bad songs. Slither, Carpe Diem Baby, Low Man's Lyric and Attitude are all songs I don't ca...
Michael McDonald
Young me didn't understand he wasn't also on Regulate for the longest time and that Regulate was only sampling him. Paul Wall is a good call in this thread too. To this day, I'm still not convinced. Related note, I was shocked when I realized The Killers wer...
Does Rocky 4 count? I love Rocky 4, don't get me wrong, but 3/4 of what makes it good are the scenes dependent on songs. Remove the montages and the James Brown intro to Apollo/Drago and most of the fun leaves the movie and you're left with Adrian complaining and Paulie and his robot. Roc...
Right. I see most people bouncing a light weight around on the calf raise machine to nowhere near failure. Of course they don’t see results
This is my #1 with calves. You have to slow down and actually contract the muscle. Your achilles is so big and powerful, it takes a ton of...
I'm not sure how great the song is, but one of the more WTF moments that derails an otherwise solid song is Future 1:45 into King's Dead. https://youtu.be/VwAnsAUYnw4?si=LAf4mWbcVUsueUOL Bob Dylan's voice is nails on a chalkboard to me. Darius Rucker tanked a lot of Hootie's second album by...
The thing I appreciate most about Springsteen's lyric is the attention to detail. He is so particular with his choice of words. He uses words like a painter uses paintbrushes. Here is an example of what I mean from Jungleland.
I love Jungleland and you're right. Atlantic City i...

The lesson here is the same one from current MCU movies. Just having a good IP isn't a guarantee. The product itself has to be fun and engaging as a standalone. If it's not, the IP is as much a curse as a blessing. The upside, people pay attention to you. The downside, people build expectatio...

One of the central themes of the movie is the question about whether it's ok to fight on the terms of an evil enemy. The cartels are violent, lawless and evil. Blunt's character wants to fight them. As she learns about how we're fighting them, she realizes we are also doing violent and lawles...

To add to the above, a few other underrated or niche things on your general trip path. Jerome, AZ. It's an old mining town turned art hub, so if you're into small town history, it's pretty cool. Right by Sedona. Wupatki and Sunset Crater are between Flagstaff and Page and cool outdoor stuff....
