shite. My doctor did it as an outpatient procedure and not an office visit. I went in, they put me under...I woke up neutered. I got four bags of frozen peas and rotated them out. Used regular Tylenol. Never touched the heavy pain pills he gave me. Frozen peas with jock strap made it only a little discomfort the first day. Milked it though... Got the royal treatment for a little

Take the venom out of a snake and what do you have? A belt.

What is “non invasive?” Like, they just go in through the pee hole?

When mine actually made the "cut", it was the same sensation in my stomach as getting kicked in the nuts for a split second. That was the worst of mine. I got 20 something pain pills and took it easy. No longer have to worry about whether or not the wife has been taking her birth control.

I'm in the 1-2% who get the long term scrotal pain. Almost three years since the vasectomy and my balls still feel sore frequently. Ejaculating doesn't feel good and makes everything sore for about a day.

Good luck! I sincerely hope I do not get to add you to my collection of post vasectomy pain stories. (Over at www.reddit.com/r/postvasectomypain if anyone is curious.)

Fear of this is what has stopped me. I have four kids and don't want any more, but living with the (rare) possible issues scares me to death.

I went to a consult 3 years ago, but never went back.

From what I understand, it's when they tie off the vas through a needle instead of actually cutting with a scalpel. So technically it's still invasive since they're sticking your balls. It just seems a bit more tolerable.

Non invasive. Dr cauterized the ends so it wouldn’t grow back. Protocol also has you take 10mg of Valium so you are completely relaxed.

Seeing smoke coming out of my balls and not giving a single frick was quite an experience.

As far as moving I went to the grocery store with my wife on the way home. It wasn’t nearly as painful as hernia surgery.

Not 100% true. Got a buddy who got a 10yr, post op surprise..that was an interesting awkward conversation.
I think my recovery took so long, cause my dr. took a huge, long chunks to prevent any chance of reconnecting

It wouldn't have been awkward if you didn't blow inside his wife.

Bro, don't be a puss. I was wide awake and had the normal one done. I didn't feel a thing other than some light tugging pressure. Didn't hurt a bit and had a nice conversation with the Dr about deep sea fishing while he worked.

Wife, drove me home and I took the pain med they gave me. I slept for the next 15 or so hours and woke up feeling great. Did it on a Friday by Sunday or Monday I was back to normal. But without a doubt do what they tell you do and take it easy.

Hardest part was waiting the 20 or ejaculations you have to complete before you can have unprotected sex again. You have to get the pipes flushed out before you can resume normal activities with the wife.

A little stinging of the nuts for a split second seems like a small price to pay to avoid the possible fatal complications of receiving IV sedation.

Ask your doc if he is planning on retiring anytime soon. I was about the last patient of mine. It mattered because...the first set of results came back with to too many ..positives. So waited a month ( which during that time doc retired) second tests came back with too many positives...advised to wait and try again...then new staff says....nahh you are good.
