After watching documentaries about nuclear testing on the Marshall Islands, I wouldn't put anything past our government.

I hope that guy is not working for that POS anymore.

Do we have any posters living in or near Uvalde to give us a report of what the “climate”’is there? With all of this damning evidence coming out about the mishandling of the scene, I don’t see how the citizenry hasn’t taken up pitchforks and torches against the Uvalde PD, SO and the school police, whatever the hell that is.

You would have been detained by multiple other officers and carried away just like him.
He wanted to get in there too. The idiot cops standing around doing nothing but arresting people trying to STOP the shooter.
He was one of the school district cops at the school not doing anything until final phone call from his wife. He actually led active shooter trainings for district, and we saw how poorly those trainings must have been on the school side and on the police response side.
White knight him for finally acting as a husband, but don’t ignore that he was very much a part of the district police problem until that last phone from his wife. He may have been 2nd biggest problem after the district’s chief of police.

You want to agree with me because you know deep down it’s just plain incompetence. A “planned” event like this doesn’t take place off only one decision. It’s probably thousands of decisions and actions. It would be incredibly intricate. Like others have said, the obvious answer is the right answer.
All it takes is one compromised person in authority to pull it off.
Just putting aside the postings stating that the school Chief was a Beto supporter, how perfect was the timing to have the shooting in Texas, just a couple of days before the NRA National Convention…in Texas.
And Beto had the perfect platform to espouse his views.
Now we have a rushed gun bill going through.
Perfect timing, no?

It's still on the front page of CNN.com and MSNBC.com though it's been relegated to secondary status w/a smaller picture to the side of the main headline. Still on NBCNews.com and ABCNews.com as well but also relegated to smaller story status.
Can't find it on Foxnews.com though I admit I stopped trying b/c that site refuses to let me use it unless I give them the ok to do an end around my blockers.
Wasn't on front page of USAToday.com, CBSNEws.com, NewsMax.com, or OANN.com.

fricking coward cops. The people should just kick them all out of town.
An armed mob would be justified in surrounding the police station and forcing them to disarm, strip to their underwear and walk out of town with their heads down, making eye contact with no one, or take their chances in a shootout with the townsfolk.

That’s odd… are Columbine, Sandy Hook, and Parkland still around? How much crazier can this story get?
Sandy Hook has been demolished. The other two are high schools, and undoubtedly much bigger facilities.
This house of horrors in Uvalde needs to be leveled and turned in to green space. If I taught there, I couldn’t go back into that building and focus on my job.

That’s the hill that I would die on. An officer never gives up their gun.

think it's a better example of how fricking dumb small town LEO are
This. There’s a lot of weird shite and an odd list of failures that happened to allow this tragic event. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy theory event, though.
As Mike Tyson said, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
I don’t think any amount of training for an active shooter can prepare you for the real thing. These small town cops had nice toys, a Facebook page that showed some nice pics, but no guts to do a tall order. Reality hit them in the face, and they caved, directly resulting in mass casualties.
