we are having a "national referendum" on police interaction with black males, yet the black male still foolishly puts himself in a bad position, the business end of a pistol. I just dont understand it.

It wont be long that white cops just arent going to even try to stop black males. get killed or kill them, fricked either way.

Dragging an officer down the street with your car is though.

So no one is questioning why the officer felt the need to reach into the vehicle if he felt there was enough potential harm to kill someone? Just that he was dragged?

Correct.
Just more of the "Comply or deserve to die" arguments

I agree with your statement but that guy may still be alive if he would have just cooperated with what the cop was saying and not started the car.

Except that he did not do that. The guy was shot immediately after the cop reached for his seatbelt BEFORE the car was driven off.

But the guy is dead 100% because of his own actions causing the LEO to use ANY force. Now, please tell me he was complying properly and got shot.

The police chief and DA both disagree with you.
The COP chose to break protocol, pulling out a gun on a non-aggressive, albeit passively noncompliant man who posed no threat during a traffic stop. If the guy was dead 100% of his own actions, there would be no indictment.

Or maybe just don't shoot a guy at all who is only being stopped because of a front license plate and no driver's licenses.

I just don't get it. How did any of that guys actions call for deadly force? Even if he did drive away, you just follow him....call in backup...not fricking kill him.

I just don't get it. Why didn't the guy comply with the officers request and get out of the car.

The cop MAY have been trigger happy

The idiot driver WAS a dumbass during the stop

Be a dick to a cop and bad things can happen, when will idiots realize this?

Traffic stops are dangerous and being a douchebag to a cop absolutely gets them on edge

All i can say is if you want to act like a hard arse when an officer has you pulled over for breaking the law, be prepared to get treated like one.

And on the flip side, if you spray a citizens brains all over his passenger side because he closes his door and starts his car, be prepared to be indicted for murder.

I wonder how many of these posters would feel the same way if it was one of their teenage children/family member that snuck mom or dads car out to go for a joyride and freaked out when being pulled over by police and chose to try to drive away from the cop in fear of getting in trouble by their parents with the end result is having their brains splattered?

How realistic do you think your scenario sounds?

They were actually having a calm conversation. He even willingly gave the officer the bottle of alcohol that was in his vehicle. I am still not sure at what point he was considered a threat and needed deadly force to be stopped from his terrible actions.

Yeah let protocol become don't stop them, let them go on a high speed pursuit through town first.

If criminals know you cant stop them after they are pulled over what do you think will happen?

well he's a campus cop, not a city cop, so its easy for them to move the line back a few yards.

So when the guy starts the car you take the chance of getting dragged and get run over just like the video with the cop in Orlando did he didn't get killed but just as easily could have. You know how many people both white and black are pulled over daily and obey the officer and don't get shot, thousands. CNN the race bait network scans the US looking boom they found it.
