TSA fails to find weapons and bombs in test 96% of the time

Yet they always find my nail clippers and hand sanitizer.
Undercover agents were able to sneak fake explosives and banned weapons through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, in an investigation that revealed a massive, system-wide security failure at America's airports.
The findings were part of a DHS inspector general probe. The report is still classified, but Fox News has confirmed the investigation found security failures at dozens of airports.
Homeland Security officials confirmed to Fox News that TSA screeners failed 67 out of 70 tests -- or 96 percent -- carried out by special investigators known as "red teams."

They are too busy being rude to actually do their jobs.

Unbelievable how terrible our security procedures are.

I am willing to bet every attempt at NO airport went undetected.

I don't think it's a glamorous job, so I usually show them respect and I usually get it back in return.

I'm not surprised in the results.
But I am surprised that they published them. I'd wager a martyr wannabe is a lot more likely to try if they think they'll actually get through security and not just get locked up for the rest of their lives.

Did they expect anything different from a group who before getting hired had 2 of the 3 companies below on their application?
- McDonald's
- Taco Bell
- West Telemarketing

Airport security should be privatized. Once again, we find another program that gov't is absolutely incompetent at and does nothing good in the big picture.

I made it through SFO with a corkscrew/knife and they have private security.

I have to fly for the first time in a long time next month. What are the procedures now? Still take laptops out and shoes off? Anything else?

lap tops out, shoes off, belt on, dick out
Posted on 6/1/15 at 4:26 pm to jbgleason
So the stupid fricks TSA hired to work for them are incompetent? bullshite. fricking bullshite!
Posted on 6/1/15 at 4:29 pm to Broke
Yes on laptops and shoes. Nothing has really changed. If you have TSA precheck, you can leave your shoes on and your laptop in the bag.

Well of course that would require them to not grab my junk and to quit gossipping and do their jobs.

Clearly we need to have better search and seizure methods in place. The TSA can't do it's job with all of these liberal pansie crybabies crying about their "rights". If the courts and ACLU got out of their way I guarantee you that number drops.

More evidence that they are present to extend government control/harassment. They surely aren't keeping anyone safe.
