Going to a friends wedding next month in Toronto, just curious if any of you guys have been to Toronto or Canada much? Is it a good idea to get some cash converted over into Canadian dollars. Also, any advice on cell usage, I have heard you can get burned and not even know it.

I seem to remember with my iphone I turned cell data off, but texts get through when I use wifi there.

I thought the conversion rate in ATMs is as good as you'll do anywhere.

No the ATMs will have the best rate. It's like $.78CnD to $1 USD

depending on carrier your's may or may not work. See if your plan allows you to access Roger's wireless, that seems to be all over up there.

The Space Needle is neat when it's not foggy. We caught a Yankee's game at the skydome too and that was fun. It's a huge city a lot to do, very sprawling.

Ive been to Vancouver, Montreal, and Quebec City. I've never converted cash. It's just like the US except in Quebec City they speak more French. My cell phone wasnt an issue. I mostly texted people back here though.

Live music and drinks at The Hideout (on Queen St., I think). It's run by a couple of crazy Irish brothers, Danny and Jimmy Good.

The CN Tower tour is cool, if the visibility is good.

Change money.

Drink their beer. It's delicious. Great beer. Flu into buffalo and drive across. Way the hell cheaper.

I looked into that and the flights from Jackson and New Orleans to Toronto were about the same as a flight into Buffalo.

I live in Canada so ask as many questions as you'd like. I would change your money in the United States though as you will probably get a lower rate in Canada. If you aren't careful someone will just give you par

fify

Went to Toronto through Buffalo, Southwest direct flight from NO. All wine country once you cross the border until you get to Toronto.
Toronto was a pretty awesome city that you can have a lot of fun in. I remember using US dollars just about everywhere and then they gave us the change in Canadian money. The downtown underground system is neat.

If your near the CN tower or Rodgers Center, try the Baton Rouge Restaurant. Good food.

Hit up the Brass Rail and tell the ladies you're a friend of Quentin.
