Reporting from Arkansas

Confirmed Tornado touchdown 15 miles NW of me. My bosses wife had a tree fall on her while driving to get their child from daycare.

Stay safe people.

Tomorrow should be a pretty low key day before things ramp up over the weekend. There are still lots of questions about the setup and it wouldn't be surprising to see storms line out on any given day over the F/S/S period.

Regardless, Flooding will probably end up being the biggest issue this weekend. Oklahoma and Arkansas is about to get some crazy rainfall amounts after getting 6+ inches in the past 10 days.

I think Friday after dark we'll see some tornadoes across Southern Oklahoma and in the ArkLaTex region Saturday possibly.

Today has produced the most tornadoes so far this week with some in Alabama and Georgia earlier today. Now Kansas is getting in on the action.

ETA: For those keeping score - yes, today has outperformed the 15% Tor hatch from yesterday

Things could change overnight but the medium range guidance was a pretty big bust for today and that looks to continue through the weekend. The flood threat remains for some areas and there will be some big hailers tomorrow but the tornado threat appears pretty low. There could still be a conditional tornado threat in some areas tomorrow and Sunday but the chances of any significant outbreak looks pretty low.

With all that said, there does appear to be one tornado ongoing this evening heading towards Ft Smith Arkansas

Here is your reason for the bust. Same thing has happened all week.
