My feelings exactly... I wouldn't even try.

If we're not talking just actual painters/sculptors, I'd have to say David Gilmour and Roger Waters.

Nothing's wrong with him. But when you try to narrow down the six most meaningful/impactful/talented/whatever artists since the 1960s, you have to justify that shite. That's why I said you set yourself up for failure. It's really, really easy to sit here and snipe at your choices. Truth is, I'd have trouble coming up with a top 50 list. But top six? Come on...

It's my list and art is personal. I'm sorry I didn't give you enough "proof" but most artists don't need that shite. Go read Hells Angels while listening to Sworfishtrombones surrounded by weird Warhol shite in a house full of muppets. Then you will get what I'm saying.

Waits is an interesting choice. I think it probably appeals to those who just have some aversion to including the more obvious and common choices (Bob Dylan, for example).

But clearly you value eccentricity, which some won't. You could easily compile the list with household names and support it quite well.

Waits produces the only music I can see. Srsly I can see his songs.

David Lynch is just weird. It's so weird that it's considered art. Just don't see it.

Darrin Aronofsky
David Fencher
Ansel Adams
Deadmau5
Willie Nelson

No particular order.

'm fricking with you bro. Don't send your kid to the boat school unless you're absolutely sure he wants to devote 30+ to becoming an Admiral. The Academy is not necessarily what college life should be.

I doubt he'll be into it. He's sensitive and creative. A dad can dream though.

Besides Deadmau5... What's wrong with the list?

I would like to add Terrence Malick. Completely forgot him.
