You broaden your criteria to include all those fields and expect a decent discussion of six people over 50 years? I guess I started off by being a little dickish, but you set yourself up for failure.

And TBH, I really don't think your list is all that strong. Consider actual "impact" on the various genres and industries. Hunter S. Thompson is probably your best bet for a particular genre (and I have a bias there). David Lynch wrote one of my favorite movies of all time (yes, the popular one), and I think it's comical to include him on that list.
ETA: Mulholland Dr is the inspiration for my abstract and "artsy" sig quote.
