When the government outlawed marijuana, many of them had no idea at all they were also outlawing hemp.
Harry Anslinger and his buddy Dupont sure knew what they were doing. $$$$$$$

Especially lumber
Are you talking about actual lumber-lumber, or just the pulp/paper side of the forest product industry?
Never mind - I Googled it. It can substitute wood, it's just not a developed industry yet.

Stuff should be legal. I really believe Marijuana laws have ruined way more lives than Marijuana ever could.

The south has traditionally been the most conservative area of the country, so no surprises here.
Conservative used to mean less government, not more.

I'm not sure it ever meant that. Certainly it did not mean that in the south at any time during the 20th century.

I have to be honest, I'll be kind of peeved if weed gets legalized in Louisiana and my guy stops delivering $100 quarters.
Only way he stops delivering is if legal is cheaper. Weed's been legal here since 2012 and I still have it delivered through my old connect because the taxes are ridiculous. I only use the rec shops for shatter and edibles and that's only because they're lab tested.
And at $100 quarters. That's the better part of an OZ of the good shite here and that's with delivery.

They didn't have a breathalyzer until drinking and driving laws.
The tech can be invented.

I'm glad you belive that. But it's not a matter of belief or opinion. It's objective fact.

You're better off making your own edibles in WA. The amount allowed in the rec shops is pitiful and does nothing for me but take the edge off.
Eta...or if you know someone with a medical card so you can get medical edibles.

I quit buying medibles because they are so inaccurate when it comes to strength. I have a very low tolerance to edibles so I actually prefer 15-20 milligrams. I've had a couple bad nights from the med stuff.
I really like these:
