I have zero issues with this. It's very, very annoying to me when people try to hide behind the "medicinal" purposes and use it as an excuse to get stoned.

Most of the medicinal positives are from the CBD, not the THC.

Legalize Weed people keep talking about making products like rope, fabric out of weed. None of that is happening in Colorado. All that's happened is the stoners have bred weed with 300% more THC and that's not even the medically beneficial part of weed. Just admit y'all want to get baked and quit making fairy tales up.

1. That is happening in Colorado. It takes time, but people are working on it. Kind of hard to make an push for manufacturing when you couldn't legally sell the products across state lines.

2. Some people want to get shite hammered, some people want to wash their mouths out with listerine.

Point is when it's all illegal nothing can progress.

I'd much rather hit a bowl after work or get stoned at parades than get drunk. Duh.

But ignoring all if the non-stoner related things that are illegal is asinine.

I had this same exact outlook until recently.

Having been in your shoes, I know that it's not worth arguing about, but just...yeah. Words can't describe.

I guess all those hours spent watching Archer make your life better than mine because I smoke a bowl or two at the end of a long day skiing/snowboarding/climbing/backpacking/biking

Legal in CO != Approved by Employer. DISH actually won a suit filed against them by a cripple who was fired for using medical jane. Since my company is national, I can't touch the stuff since I value my employment.

This - companies can still set no tolerance policies as they see fit. I'm a bit surprised legalization hasn't prompted companies in those states to treat marijuana a bit more like alcohol. You usually only get fired for alcohol if you get embarrassingly drunk at a company function or if you are actually drunk in the office, but not for personal use at home. I believe the only thing that can change that is federal legalization.

I think testing for "active" THC is still a somewhat up in the air process is one of the big issues.

Just admit that its not chemically addictive, is safer than alcohol, would disrupt the black market in a huge way, would generate billions in tax revenue for schools, and should logically be legalized for adults everywhere.

Called "spot testing". They need to create a reliable and affordable way to spot test, much like a breathalyzer for alcohol.

That would seriously expedite legalization because it can be enforced on the roads, at work, at schools, etc.

ETA:

Also, the inventor of such a test would be a billionaire.

Yeah, that.

I'd be 100% behind funneling some funds that way if it meant another step towards legalization.
