I'm 28 and will be getting a gift from Santa as well as my older sibling

Our Santa gifts are always wrapped in different paper than the other gifts from the parents and the tag was signed by someone other than them too.

It's nice to keep this tradition from childhood going. Glad my parents kept it and I never became a cynic about it.

My wife has a friend that told her 6 year old that there was no santa and that her and her husband bought all the gifts because they wanted kids to know it was them buying the gifts.

When my wife told me that, I was completely shocked that someone would be that insecure.

I think this is sad. They're going to figure out in a couple of years. I love that my parents still do Santa for us as adults. They can do as they please, but I have such great memories of Santa and Christmas from when I was a kid.

The way we had it set up growing up is that my mom would wrap the gifts from her and I would get those Christmas eve. Santa's stuff wasn't wrapped and got it Christmas morning. This was always the bigger gifts.

Time with family should always be cherished regardless of where we all lie on the age scale. The magic of the season will always be there in a smile, a hug, a simple remembrance, and in steps over the threshold of a house we used to call home. It's just different and changes shape and is a little more momentary, but you'll see it there if you step back, breathe out the troubles of the world, and let it in.

My mother, to this day and I'm 42, still puts "From: Santa" on 1 or 2 presents for my me, my wife and our teenagers.

My mom still makes me an Easter basket.

Luckily I was the oldest and still received presents from Santa Christmas morning until I was 21.now the past two years we open on Christmas eve night. Definitely looking forward in 5 years or so to becoming Santa myself.

My nine year old finally figured it out, confronted me with evidence she'd been gathering for the last 4 years, along with some Google search results. I folded like a cheap suit, confessed everything and cried like a girl.

But now she's in on the secret for her younger siblings, and is really excited.

I just wish it could have lasted a few more years. My wife tried to tell her I'm crazy and of course there is Santa, but she's too smart.
