However, one thing that truly offends me is a mayor who makes a speech saying, "We cannot be afraid of the truth", while blaming the civil war and slavery for the 21st century plight of his miserable, ignorant, self-destructive, dysfunctional population. And media who let him get away with such blatant bull shite
and the ignorant people who elect these mayors, etc.

Dumb arse rednecks with no connection to NOLA butt hurt about the situation in Nola at the moment.
That's a pretty fricking dumb as shite thing to say. Have you ever considered that these folks still have family in NOLA and visit there yearly?
Can we not still have an opinion on a place we were raised?

The people able to take a whole Friday off to cheer for the removal of Lee. They must have good jobs and tolerant bosses.

Nothing. I don't get offended by things that have no bearing on me.
Though all the homeless and gutterpunks really makes touristy NOLA look like crap.

Creole (red) style gumbo, stupid port city/yankee accents, rain at least one weekend of every jazz fest, jazz fest itself, being below sea level for implying superiority of above sea level citizens, edm shows in historic buildings, bourbon street, the fly... the list could go for days

I'd imagine all the section 8 housing resembled a ghost town at this time!

It offends me when I am in the check out line at the grocery buying hot dogs and beans and the person before me is buying steaks and they whip out a Louisiana Purchase card to pay for it.

The fact that if I got my drink on in the FQ I'd probably be killed getting my old favorite (only drunk) pre bed food. Krystal Burger.

A homeless white guy asked me to buy him a milkshake yesterday on St Charles. The racial undertone was very obvious and I couldn't continue on with my day.
