Yes, THAT Robertson family... Phil, Ms Kay, Willie, and the gang... How are they perceived in Louisiana? I know that they, especially Phil, are highly thought of in many rural parts of my state, but I'm curious about how they are perceived at "home"...

first, they were respected as hunters. second, came business success and people were like "meh" their dumbasses but if people pay them millions, then ok. third came their politics. now people just think they are dumbasses.

I'm not a watcher of the show, TBH.

I do like they that they told the network to piss up a rope if they cut their prayers from the show.

Individuals can do what they want. (shrugs)

Phil speaking out against anal throttled Mo Isom's world view.

It was a gamechanger.

The same way Criss Angel is perceived in the magic community.

Yep. Let's you know what's important to them, and I really admire that about them.

Seems like he's always done what he wants...
That puts a lot of people off.

He was the starter on the football team, but wouldn't come to practice so he could hunt.

They ended up having to start the second-string guy.

I got "The Robertson Family Bible" that replaces bible people with people from the show and the parables with duck dynastyisms

It's only 36.99 at Walmart

I can't speak for the rest of the state, but I perceive them to be pretty durn smart. They saw the niche they could jump in to and capitalized on it. I have no problem with them at all.

I don't deny that they have some business savvy and have done well for themselves. I just wish they could have stuck to hunting and making duck calls instead of climbing on their soap box,and I agree with their politics.
