My dad was a Green Beret in the Army. He doesnt like to talk about it much though because he said he was a completely different person back then.

My favorite show had a Loose Seal.

I know one Army SF guy. Nice as can be and only family and close friends know what he is. They do not brag or tell anybody. The talkers are usually full of shite and likely worked the Army motor pool.
Buddy of mine is in 3rd group, all he talks about when he is back in country is how boring it is and how he wants to go back to being deployed. Pretty much does just training classes stateside until redeployed .

See this right there show ignorance. Seals from what I understand are trained to survive torture. They have a situational awareness like no other. They are in unbelievable condition. Fighting is not just about MMA skills. It is about having killer instincts. Navy Seals do not go down easy. So if you did fist fight one, I would imagine it would take more than the average bear to "kick his arse."

Some of the younger ones do.

On a side note who would be considered more elite Seals or Delta. Is one even better than the other or are they just specialized in different areas.
Regular SEALS are not a comparison to Delta. You want to compare the Navy's Tier 1 asset, DEVGRU.
As far as skills go, probably very little difference between them and you may even find them mixed and matched on some ops. Delta seems to be quite a bit more publicity averse. You rarely hear anything about them and they like it that way. DEVGRU seems to enjoy the limelight.
DEVGRU is theoretically maritime focused, but as we've seen, not necessarily. DEVGRU gets a lot of land missions, and Delta is very capable of operating in, on, and around water. In recent years, Delta has primarily operated in Iraq and DEVGRU in AFG. The Bush Administration favored Dekta somewhat, under Obama, DEVGRU has had the hot hand.
And there are likely several units no one has ever heard of.

I didn't fistfight one
People like me are hired to train them hand to hand combatives from time to time
But what does water boarding training have to do with fighting skills?

Most operators are average and really cut. They have to be able to move quickly. I don't know why everyone pictures them as hulked up monsters.

In a fistfight, they have the advantage of being mentally and physically tough, but their actual fighting skill isn't anything special
What the hell are you comparing this to, civilian or other military personnel?
The military's martial arts programs are pretty solid. It's just up to the individual to spend time learning them or go to the schools. I can guarantee that MCMAP instructors are nobody to frick with.

The hand to hand combatives those guys learn are not very advanced and not at all practical unless you work them as often as they do their weapons training
Not enough hours in the day to train H2H on top of everything else, and if you have to use H2H, things are really fricked up anyway. Most of the time, idea is for them to never know you were there. Guys who do train beyond the basics do it on their own time.

In typical RebelOke fashion, he has no idea who you are IRL..

I had a teacher in high school that I am dead sure was some type of special forces. He was waaay too good at sneaking around, way too much knowledge of obscure weapons, way too much about preasure points, holds, and submission moves. He never even claimed to have been in the military, but none of us ever believed it.

Did you return the golf clubs when you were finish? Or did you not purchase them at Wal-Mart?

At my church, we have a retired SEAL who works with the youth group. He as always our chaperone on trips. Dude was cool as hell, but freaking crazy. Every year, someone would always try to sneak out to test him. He would stay awake for a full weekend trip on the cabin roof, hiding, then chase down anyone who snuck out. He said when his eyes got heavy, he would put drops of Tabasco in them to keep awake.

This is probably why I was able kicked the ever loving shite out of a seal one night.
Thanks for ruining my brag party man.

Exactly my point. And the joke was that if me and my fellow instructors ever got within 20 feet of one of those guys in a combat situation they would cut us "long, deep, and continuous."
But a fistfight is a different thing. I wouldn't imagine I would survive long at all if any of those guys had weapons though

Sounds more like Jerry Sandusky than special forces.
