My honest to God answer to all of this is that women tend to internalize other people's judgments much more than men. If you pull up your facebook feed, you will see memes of men being stupid and another child that women have to raise. You don't see any comments on these posts but a few likes and "hah" that's funny. Most men have no fricks to give.
Most of these double standards are brought on more by other women. My wife decided to stay home and raise kids. Who judged her the most? Other women in the family. Guess who probably does most of the slut shaming? Other women. I really believe we don't get the shaming because we're more impervious to the shaming. Besides I don't care about what others do with their life as much as my wife does.
We may perpetuate the shaming because it's a good laugh but most guys don't really give a shite.

There are lots of different breeding strategies out there in the animal kingdom. Just with the apes, you can look at testicule-body size ratio to get an idea of what the primary mating strategy is. While polygyny (one male, multiple females) is far more common for obvious reasons, polyandry (one female, multiple males) does occur in some species.
Then you have things like the spotted hyena where it is a matriarchal social system. Top woman is a bad bitch that treats subordinate females poorly. So evolution comes along and now females have a pseudopenis to confuse (I guess) the top bitch so they aren't treated as badly.
Also, how many species are out there having sex for pleasure like humans do? Human females also lack HUGELY OBVIOUS outward signs of ovulation which can complicate things.

I'll second that only stupid people (takes a stupid male too) get accidentally pregnant. Or drunk people. But if you're drunk and having unprotected sex then it is assumed you are stupid.
As for the double standard, that sucks but it will always be there.

My wife got pregnant on the pill last year. However, she was inconsistent at taking it at the same time every day. We were willing to take the risk though.
However, I am not so sure there really is even a "double standard." I am not impressed with guys that frick a lot of chicks unless he's fricking 10's and that just doesn't happen very often.

We look at a man sleeping with a young girl differently from an older woman sleeping with a teenage boy because they ARE different. Whether that has to do with cultural/social norms, conditioning, reactions, consequences, etc.--it doesn't matter. Differences exist and the only reason to argue otherwise is to serve some nonsense argumentative position in a larger societal debate about the sexes.
