The double standard that exists for women regarding sex and kids.

I was noting the standard we all knows exist when talking about women and sex.
A guy sleeps with a lot of women and he's a pimp. We congratulate him and praise him and ridicule the guys who don't get laid a lot.
On the other hand a woman is a slut if she sleeps around, but on the OT and in life it goes even further.
Lets say in the act of sex a condom breaks and a baby is conceived. Well now the woman is pregnant and once she has a kid she is considered "damaged goods" to many here. Or is trashy for having a kid out of wedlock, so she is shamed for keeping the kid and having the baby.
The other option, abortion is also "trashy" and most think the practice should be illegal here.
So she has sex, get's pregnant and either outcome, according to our standards is now trashy because she had sex and the guy didn't pull out, or the birth control didn't work. Is the guy who knocked her up trashy? Of course not.
I see so many post where posters shite on women who have kids early, yet they also oppose abortions, so what do they want the woman to do? Never have sex?
Do they personally abstain?
Why do we allow such double standards to exist? I just never got how it was we condemn women for an act we praise the fellow guys for.

Be responsible for her own birth control. A single woman should never leave birth control up to the man. Condoms should be about preventing STDs with a new guy, not used solely as birth control. Any smart single women is on the pill already or using another form of birth control(IUD, diaphragm, etc).

A couple of things:
First, most people like to practice the age old ritual of do as I say and not as I do.
Secondly, we still live in a male driven world.

I also think it is harder for women, because the majority of the time they are left to carry the proof. A guy can hide having kids out of wedlock a lot easier than a woman.

What if they have a baby on Ortho? They were being responsible by your standard. I get that two are to blame for a pregnancy, it just always struck me as odd.

You mean the pill? If you get pregnant on the pill....you were not taking it correctly. Either you were on antibiotics(which lessens the effectiveness of the pill) or you didn't take the pill at the same time EVERY DAY or you forgot to take it one day or two.
You can't blame the pill for getting you pregnant, you just chose not to be smart about how exactly the pill works and what can cause it not to be as effective.
