We went to Disney with the kids last year. I was shocked by the number of overweight people riding scooters. I didn’t realize that would be a thing. It was kind of embarrassing to see.
We are planning a trip for sometime in the next few years. Whenever they remove all the restrictions so our kids can actually meet the characters. Between now and then, I’m trying to get fat enough to need a scooter. Seems like the best way to do Disney, tbh.

This.
We took our kids last summer, and I was shocked at the number of people I saw there without kids.

And yes, they were there last week for the arts festival which basically looks like the Riverwalk in New Orleans during any given weekend. BUT OMG ITS SO MUCH COOLER BECAUSE ITS AT DISNEY.
This is so ironic seeing this on Tigerdroppings

Walt Disney was a fascist. His parks still are.

This is what you get when you have a generation of adults that don't grow up. Eternal children, with credit cards.
Adults in the US these days are emotional invalids. Arrested development at about age 18.

They won't sell for that much. How much they ARE selling for is ridiculous enough though.

don't get fat...just get a "soft tissue" injury in a leg...they'll move you to the front of every line and such...
Last time we took the kids (years ago) there were cheerleaders with injured elbows who were going to the front of the line with their friends...because an injured elbow stops you from waiting in line...

Never ever took my kids to Disney World - we never even watched their animated cartoons… now they are 11 and 13 - couldn’t be happier with my choice … this is more confirmation

That's not how the Cheerleaders made it to the front of the line.

Update on the buckets: Officially sold out and people are freaking the frick out.

They should find out every adult who waited in line for one and ban them from Disney properties for life.

Went with my wife to Disneyland (2018 ish) and thought I would hate it. But we had a blast even though we were a few months too early for the new Star Wars ride. The restaurants were awesome and it was overall a very good time. It certainly beat the hell out of the rest of the Los Angeles trip.
We’ve since had our first child and probably won’t go again until our daughter is at least 4-5 years old. But I wouldn’t mind going again with just my wife if they don’t have the crazy Covid restrictions and we could pick a week that wasn’t too busy. Preferably at a time when we could avoid some or Chicago’s horrible winter weather.
No chance on earth I would wait in line for 6 hours for anything at Disney though. That sounds horrible and miserable. I would probably not get along with the folks that would wait in line that long for a souvenir. No way.
IIRC, it’s the 50th anniversary this week at Disney World. It’s probably a bad time to go if you don’t tolerate lines.

We took the kids back in November and the amount of fat arse people stuffing their fat frickin neck with food while holding the button down on their scooters was unreal. It really made me feel good about myself.

Are you really comparing men talking about sports etc to adults who make regular trips to a children's theme park and wait hours to get a dragon shaped popcorn tub??? Which of those seems more developmentally appropriate to you?

What seems inappropriate about liking Disney related things in adulthood?

To an extent...nothing at all. Still dressing up in costumes, taking all your vacations at a children's park, and in general basing your personality around childrens movies is...well...childish.
There is a difference between liking Disney content and some of these adult Disney fans. The Disney people this thread is talking about are on the same level as the dude who smash their TV and half the shite they owned when the cowboys lost last night.
It's not the interest that makes it inappropriate...it's how the person handles the interest.
