Just need enough to reach shreveport.

1-20 Eastbound. I said before Tyler exit for HWY 271 should be far enough away to not be paralyzed. Gas station is right off of the interstate.

I had a half tank but my fuel pump went out.

Not sure if they had to drain it to drop the tank. Gonna call them this morning

BUCCEES HAS GAS

Tyler has a couple places without gas, but that might be normal because the vast majority have it. Shreveport is fine. Baton Rouge is fine. (Checking my drive to New Orleans tomorrow )

Counted maybe 30 cars in a three story garage this morning.

Some a-hole decided to drop off a ton of new equipment in the lab which of course higher ups will be bitching about sooner rather than later. So I had to come in :( .

Several issues at play here. Besides the obvious road closures slowing truck deliveries, the Ship Channel being closed and panic buying. Terminals and pipelines in Texas being shutdown is the biggest issue. Remember that fuel products typically travel in the pipeline FROM Texas to the East, not the other way around. To give credit where credit is due, the Trump EPA issued multistate waivers allowing early distribution of Winter Gas in very rapid fashion, much faster than the previous administration. This allows more product into supply from the refineries in Louisiana, which will help. For those that don't know, gulf coast produced gasoline is pretty much the only source for the entire Easten seaboard, the Southeast and well into the Midwest. So when 20% of the nationwide capacity goes away virtually overnight, it creates a lot of interest over a large part of the country. Supply will be tight for awhile, better hope Irma stays away from the GOM.

Unleaded and Unleaded plus are pretty much out in San Antonio. Now I'm not saying it's the messicans fault, but it's totally the messicans fault.

When did a major hurricane disrupt transportation of gas under obama?

I think you meant under bush.

A LOT of stations in the Houston area should have gasoline today and will continue to be supplied.

Source: I know a guy who knows a guy who says he heard from another guy that they guy who runs the joint that supplies the gas said so.

Update:

Gov. Abbott press conference

TX / OK pipeline has been reversed
Refineries in CC coming back online
Signed legislation to relieve restrictions on gas truckers
Gas will flow to DFW , then surrounding communities.

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE

Dallas today...

I'd like to think the $9.99 meant they were out of gas but there were cars at the pump. Who knows...

The idling vehicles were so bad yesterday that it caused an area air advisory.

Long story short, the people who burned up several gallons waiting or who ran out and bought containers, ended up still on the losing end, price-wise.

That and people don't change the way they drive when this kind of shite happens. They gun it to the next red light and slam on their brakes.

I have noticed that too, but they were gunning it when it was $4, also. And the fatties are still idling at mcdonalds.

I was completely on E when I drove up to the Costco at Park and Toll in Plano. Lines coming from every direction, but they had about 12 attendants control the flow of the cars coming in and out.

Even though I came in and was about 30th in line, it only took about 12-15 minutes for me to get up to the pump. Really wasn't bad at all, but from what I hear, they were one of the only ones open in the area.

Good luck to everyone.

ETA - Regular was only $2.29/gal, for anyone in the area.
