Does McKinney have good support for their football teams? Never see them far into the playoffs.

Allen can fill their's but they only have one (very large) high school, and tend to attract some of the blue chip talent.

You hear less because like you said they have 3 schools and talent is distributed Each produces D1 talent. Zach Lee LSU football /baseball commit was from McKinney for example.

McKinney has 3 schools, Allen has 1. Talent in Allen stays at Allen high. Not so much in McKinney.

It's a couple blocks from our place. Hopefully it brings some more shite to this area. Nothing but fields in the immediate area next to the stadium site.

I am just south of 121, we need a damn grocery store other than whole paycheck

maybe they could dial the high property taxes back a bit instead.

There are some places where people are willing to pay high taxes in return for high levels of service and nice things.

Not everyone wants as low taxes and as terrible service as they can get.

Are you applying to work at both or is your heart set on working at one over the other?

Frisco > McKinney and Allen. Kids will be playing in an indoor stadium.
Taxes are lower and we have twice the amenities.
People who think property taxes are too high in this area need to move out or not move here in the first place. You get what you pay for.

I do not understand the people here bitching about the taxes that don't live there. If it passes a vote, it will get built. If if passes a vote, it seems like the people want it.

The facilities here in Corpus Christi aren't anywhere near those in DFW, but they are still in good shape, have AstroTurf, nice tracks, etc. And why? Because it was voted on...

I think my Dallas HS stadium fit 12k. Not as nice and only hosted football for 2 school's varsity teams in the district. I'm assuming this has a lot of additional utility besides football. Worth every penny if utilized by every McKinney HS.

HS football is serious shite in Texas. Getting 12k to a HS game is impressive, they probably dont get that many people at a La state title game.

Congrats on becoming Plano where it's over built, overcrowded and little greenery.

Obviously they won't bring 12k to every game. But you want it to be able to accomdate when McKinney schools play each other also.

I live in Rockwall and ours holds about 9k I think. The most we had at a game this year was probably 8500. But the last time we played Rockwall Heath, there were 12k people in the stadium or standing.

My brother lives in Heath. The Rockwall area is a nice place and I can see why him and his wife like the area. I been by the Rockwall stadium while visiting and it is nice.

Flying over that area is amazing. Endless sea of similar houses crammed together.
